Construction Project
We are excited to keep you updated here about the development of the Seaside Resort, an eco-friendly hotel at 123 Oceanview Avenue, Baytown. This new 150-room hotel will feature a conference center, a spa, and exhibits of local art, designed to attract eco-tourists and support the local community and economy.
We acknowledge that the Seaside Resort Hotel project is situated on the traditional lands of the Yamasee Indian nation. We honor their enduring connection to this land and recognize the importance of their cultural and historical heritage. We are committed to engaging with the Yamasee community to ensure our project supports and respects their traditions and contributions. We invite you to learn about the Yamasee nation's rich history and to join us in fostering a respectful and mutually beneficial relationship.
How this affects you
To understand how this project might affect Baytown, we’ve looked at similar eco-tourism projects, such as Oceanview Eco-Lodge in Point Bay and Oceanside Retreat in Highland View. Based on these examples, we anticipate similar impacts for Baytown, including economic growth, job creation, and enhanced local tourism while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and community values.
We also acknowledge that the project may have potential negative impacts, including increased traffic from construction and increased tourism, temporary dust, and noise near the construction site. We are committed to mitigating these impacts through careful planning and sustainable practices. Measures will be taken to minimize dust, manage noise levels, and ensure traffic flows smoothly.
